AERODYNAMICS DERIVED FROM THE BOLIDE HR
Fork and pendants have been taken to extremes by exploiting the possibility of going beyond the 3: 1 ratio. Fork and undercarriage can accept standard wheels and lenticular wheels.
GEOMETRY
The geometry optimized for these competitions features an exceptionally long top tube and short stem to comply with the UCI regulations and still allow for a performing position for the athlete. The concept of asymmetry that has always been characteristic of our road frames has also been transferred to the track frame, a feature which, combined with the reinforced chainstays, optimizes the stiffness of the frame and the transfer of power.
INNOVATIVE HEAD TUBE
To obtain a single long aerodynamic profile, the head tube hides the fork head. This solution preserves the aerodynamic performance and functionality of the vehicle allowing the fork to rotate freely much more than the solutions usually used in time trial bikes.
INNOVATIVE HANDLEBAR
Reach and drop 80/125, compact curve, aerodynamic sections, 38 cm O-O width with 8.5 ° tilted curves. Particularly refined is the shape of the upper part of the curves which has a high support that allows the athlete to hold a "cronoman" position, the central part of the flat handlebar allows the athlete to perform efficiently even when pedalling in the position held in the challenges against time. The tight curve in its central part also allows for exceptional grip during the change phase in the Madison. Pinarello MAAT was designed to allow the use of tyres up to 23mm.
