Company founder Hugo de Rosa (Hugo de Rosa) was born in 1934 on 27 of January in Milan. He was an amateur athlete, participated in many cycling races. Before taking up the production of bicycles, Hugo de Rosa graduated from a technical college. In the 1950s, he opened his shop and began producing road bikes. Shortly after several victories at major competitions, including Giro d Italia, the demand for De Rosa bikes increased in many countries. Subsequently, Hugo de Rosa’s company grew from a small workshop adjacent to his house to a large-scale production facility in Cusano Milanino. Aluminum and carbon frames were added to production in 1996 and 2000, respectively.
Bicycles are in great demand in Italy among professionals and amateurs.
